Athletes Destination
AERO Kenya's destination, Eldoret town is best described as the athletics city of the world. And it comes to mind whenever athletics is mentioned. Indeed, most renowned world athletes can not at all do without us; they rely on our airline to get them to those cherished training camps in the country, which is also home to many of them. Consider world beaters like Kipchoge Keino, Lorna Kiplagat, the reigning world women cross country champion, Paul Tergat world record marathon holder, Tecla Lorupe, Martin Lal among others who hail from this region best described as the cradle of athletics.
The place has high altitude and almost all world-class runners are born and bred there. Internationally, athletes around the globe stream to the magnificent train facilities like the University of Champions to train for winning. The facility together with the Lorna Kiplagat foundation that promotes education by shopping for scholarships for teenage promising athletes depends on us to aptly get them to their destinations. They have also not fallen short of praising the only airline that delivers them to this destination. "Its such an awesome experience in totality. From AERO Kenya who flew me down here, the hospitality and the amazing facilities available, I would advice anybody to fly AERO Kenya and get down here," said Harrie Care, a British national who was training at the University of Champions in readiness for a road race. To date, our airline has flown up to 2000 athletes from a round the globe to various high altitude camps in the area to horn their skills. The Boulders/Iten Training Camp which plays host to a number of athletes is full of gratitude to AERO Kenya: "This is a friendly airline that goes out of its way to help our athletes at all times," says the Camps coordinator Geoffrey Kiprotich.
